Our Story

Jules and Mike met through our joint love of cycling in October 2018. We started dating and Jules very quickly emigrated to Basel in Switzerland but made the mistake of leaving a forwarding address. Our love Blossomed, despite the long distance and we enjoyed our adventures cycling around the glorious mountains of Switzerland. Covid added an interesting dimension for us to navigate where Jules moved into Mikes place for 3 months in London and Mike managed to blag his way out to Basel, navigating the Swiss border control persuading them that we were in a long-term relationship. In 2022 we realised that we would like to be living together so Jules moved back to the UK, and we moved back to Carlton. We soon realised the house was not big enough for us and all of Mike’s gadgets, so we found our forever home in Frome, Somerset. We got engaged in September 2024 on a rooftop in Paris and we are delighted to be getting married in September at our forever home with all our Family and friends.

In regards to gifting, we have 3 thoughts for you.

No gift needed as it is about celebrating with you.

Accommodation

We have put a few suggestions for you here and all are within 15 mins walk from our place. There are more options with air BnB in the centre of Frome. We would recommend pre booking taxis as they are difficult to find on the day (For some reason Frome is a black hole for Taxis!!!)

What to Wear

We are both dressing up (any excuse). We will be in the garden in a Marquee, and it may get chilly later but there will be a disco to warm you up.

Parking Area

There will be no parking on site but there are roads near by. If you are staying in the centre of Frome then we would recommend leaving your car there.

Photos on the Day

We are not having an official photographer so would love for you to capture some moments for us. We will have a few cameras around the place on the day so please pick them up and take photos or take photos on your own camera phones and upload for us (Fromeo or Pinterest account to be uploaded nearer the day).
